We started OurRecipeTree.com not because we're experts at saving recipes, but because we needed help doing it ourselves. Like many of you, we had a collection of family recipes — handwritten cards, scraps of paper, and memories — but they were scattered everywhere and hard to keep track of.
As we tried to organize them, we realized there was no simple, easy way to store, share, and update recipes all in one place. So, we decided to build a solution: a platform where families could come together, add their recipes, and preserve their food stories for the next generation. At OurRecipeTree.com, we’ve been very careful to create a space where users can save not only their recipes but also pictures and videos of the cooks themselves, not just the food. Recipes are easy to find, but our personal, unique stories are not!
Leveraging my project management skills and tech background, we were able to make this project a success, ensuring a user-friendly platform that meets the needs of families looking to preserve their culinary heritage. We created OurRecipeTree.com to help others like us—those who want to keep family recipes safe but don’t have the time or tech skills to make it happen.
